Running for Drugs

Four Hours of Sleep, Booze, and a Dream

That's what I was running on this weekend.

I was going to run some errands after work tonight but I am so fucking tired I can hardly believe it. Both Friday and Saturday nights I stayed up and out past 4 and then got up around 8:30 and then I went out on Sunday night and now I just want to crawl up in a little ball under my desk and sleep. That was a long and awful sentence.

I was at this insane party one of my coworkers threw on Saturday that had the theme of balls. There was a mini ball pit, all the food was in the form of balls, and the hostess wore a ball-gown. You can imagine all the awful, awful ball jokes that were made. "I need to stop stuffing these balls in my mouth." I didn't really talk to anyone but other fellow coworkers because I am not friendly. Although I did hear about and stare at this one guy who had long hair and a bald spot who called himself "Crazy White Motherfucker" and he had business cards with this printed on them. I know at this point you think I am making things up but I promise you, I am not. Later in the night the Crazy White Motherfucker passed out in the mini ball pit. It was beautiful.

In news of the bizarre, I ended up spending the night on my coworker John's couch in Williamsburg Saturday night. I'm not going to say it was normal, but I'm also not going to say it was the weirdest event of my weekend.

This morning I had a much more awesome celebrity sighting than Famke. Walking across Varick on King, coming directly at me at 8:45 on this blustery morning, were Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson. It was really hard not to stare at them because he's really tall and she's really beautiful, but most importantly she was holding her small child with a blanket rapped around both of them. That looked really odd. If it had been anyone else walking around downtown with their child and self wrapped in a giant blanket I would have totally gawked and stared. But because they were famous I tried not to look. Does that make sense?

Shit. I really need to go to sleep.

I'm not friendly, either.
